October Homecoming

On September 10, UDaily posted an article called “October Homecoming” by Michael Yancey, which was about the spirit-filled homecoming we have coming up in just a few weeks. Between the homecoming football game, prizes, and stations, the school is really excited to have an amazing homecoming weekend. The week leading up to homecoming weekend there will be “spirit stations” set up throughout campus. The Homecoming Student Committee set up these stations where some lucky blue hens that are showing their blue hen pride, can win prizes. As the weekend gets closer, Friday is filled with pep rally and banner competitions. These will be held in the Little Bob and are open to all students and organizations. This will consist of tons of different games and activities. Before the game on Saturday, there will be a tailgate held on South Campus. UD also offers the Homecoming court where 5 males and 5 females are picked to run and once they are in the court they will campaign to try and become homecoming king or queen. After the game, there is something called a “Goalpost Party” where alumni and students will be given food, drinks, music, and other activities. Throughout this fun time on campus The UD Alumni Relations Association asks UD staff are asked to send in creative school spirited pictures for a contest.
